Terms of Use
Last updated: March 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using CommitOrQuit, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Commitment Deposits
When you create a commitment deposit, you authorize CommitOrQuit to charge your payment method for the selected amount ($5, $10, $15, or $20 per week) for each week you fail to complete your habit requirements.
3. No-Cancellation Policy
Once a commitment deposit is activated, it cannot be cancelled. If you deactivate a habit with an active commitment, the remaining deposit is forfeited and donated to your selected charity. This policy is fundamental to the app's accountability mechanism.
4. Charitable Donations
Forfeited deposits are donated to the charity you selected via Every.org. CommitOrQuit does not retain forfeited deposits. Tax receipts are provided by Every.org as the fiscal sponsor.
5. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time. If you have active commitments, all remaining deposits will be forfeited to charity before account deletion is processed.
6. Disputes
If you believe you were charged incorrectly (e.g., due to sync issues), you may file a dispute within 7 days of settlement. Valid disputes with verified completion envelopes are auto-approved and refunded.
